Ski Trip, A First for Teens

Teens learned to ski and snowboard and had the chance to try out their skills on the bunny slopes. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Seven Trees and Roosevelt community centers hosted a 16-hour trip, with 40 youth on March 17. Courtesy of SkiDUCK and Bay Area Ski Bus, the teens were provided with transportation, food, ski or snowboard equipment, waterproof clothing (jackets, pants, gloves, goggles), and a lift ticket. This trip provided  teens a new recreational opportunity that they may have not had the means to experience. For more information, please contact Neil Rufino, PRNS Deputy Director, at 408-535-3508.
