Process Innovation Leads to Summer Hiring Success for Happy Hollow Park & Zoo and Summer Camps

Over the weekend of March 23 and 24, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services partnered with Human Resources to welcome seasonal candidates to Southside Community Center. Creative planning produced a turn-key hiring event, which featured interviews, background fingerprinting and employee health screening in one location and all in the same day. By Sunday evening, 130 candidates received conditional offers for summer jobs, ensuring Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, parks and community centers will be best equipped to serve the community for the summer season.
